Prologue RT’s Will King in fine form during the summer Crit season!

Following an impressive ride at Otley where he took 4th, Will has found some excellent form to take second at both Barnsley and Colne Town Centre Races.

He has taken the second step on the podium in two very different races, read Will’s race reports here:

Colne Town Centre – National Circuit Series Support Race (2,3,4)

The race started off fast and a few riders tried to get away early on but nothing stuck though this made the pace of the race even quicker.

Then on the intermediate sprint me and another rider tried to win it and we managed to create a gap so we pushed on until and managed to stay away from the bunch until the finish.

I knew the other rider had a better sprint than me so I held back to try and roll him at the finish but it didn’t work out and finished in 2nd place!

Barnsley Town Centre – National Circuit Series Support Race (2,3,4)

Barnsley is a super technical slow course so I knew I had to be on the front row at the start. The race started and it was fairly calm to begin with then about half way it started to kick off with multiple attacks. On hearing the bell for one lap to go a rider attacked, I was a few places back so had move quickly through the field and also dodge some lapped riders.

I attacked as hard as I could to try catch him but I was too late as the gap was too big, though I managed to hold off the main group for 2nd.
